On October 8th, The Welcome Project, in Hatboro, PA. hosted the Bucks-Mont Collaborative’s in-person networking series, Collaborative Connections. What a great opportunity to reconnect and connect with individuals from other non-profit organizations and to learn about the Welcome Center from Josh Blakesley, Executive Director and Heidi Roux, Direct of the Immigrant Justice Program.
The Welcome Center offers calm and supportive inclusive spaces for advocacy, support groups and training and education for immigrant justice programs, interfaith gatherings, LGBT+ programs and services. To learn more and/or how you can help, visit their website.
I left the event with a greater sense of hope and purpose. I thought about the value of network and community. Full disclosure, I have driven by the Welcome Project many times and wondered about it for quite a while; however, I never went in to learn more about it. Being a part of the Coalition4Justice has afforded me many such opportunities to contribute to my community. For that, as well as for the work of the Welcome Project and all of the organizations that participated in this Collaborative Connections meeting, I am grateful.
Below is a list of the organizations that participated in the gathering. How many of the organizations below are in your network?
