About the event
Mr. Danny Gwynn’s story begins in Philadelphia, PA. He was rejected by his parents and raised by his maternal grandmother in a neighborhood ravished by violence, crack addiction, and homeless people. He dropped out of high school and fell in with a bad crowd, running the streets of Philadelphia. He then turned to using drugs and became addicted to crack cocaine to escape the pain of being abandoned by his parents. He committed petty thefts to feed his addiction, which caused him to be blamed for any bad thing that occurred in his neighborhood. It also placed him on the local police radar.
Mr. Danny Gwynn is a talented and prolific artist who is committed to also giving back to his community through his art. His mural is placed at the Martin Luther King (MLK) Center at 22 Cecil B. Moore Avenue, Philadelphia. Danny is a motivational speaker who is…
