About the event
Since the Great Recession, Americans across have been afflicted by the affordable housing issue, which is only becoming worse. According to projections, there should be four to five million more houses available in the United States in 2022 than there are at the moment. Both renters and purchasers are finding housing expenses to be more unaffordable; in 80% of US areas, house prices are growing faster than wage growth, and over 40% of renters are cost-burdened, or spend more than 30% of their income on housing expenditures. Furthermore, the COVID-19 pandemic-related supply chain limitations and the surge in work-from-home requests have made the issue worse. Our conversation will discuss the affordable housing issue in the United States and give a few ideas on how we all can lead the way to help.
