Advocating for Fairness in Our Challenging Political Landscape

Dr. Carol Kuniholm, co-founder and Chair of Fair Districts PA, a non-partisan, all-volunteer coalition working on redistricting reform in Pennsylvania, is committed to ensuring that all Pennsylvanians have fair and equitable representation when they cast their votes.

Decades of gerrymandered legislative districts have created an unaccountable Pennsylvania legislature that shuts out the concerns of MOST Pennsylvanians. In recent legislative sessions, less than 7% of bills introduced have been signed into law. Most bills never even receive consideration in committee. Fair Districts PA and the League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania have been advocating for a better redistricting process for years without success. Despite that reality, new maps for the next decade open the door for some new voices in Harrisburg. This year, our state elections are more important than ever.
