Juneteenth Events

Juneteenth is a special day that remembers an important moment in history. It happened on June 19, 1865, when the last group of Black people enslaved in Galveston, Texas, finally learned that all Black people across the country were declared to be free.

To celebrate and learn about this important event, many exciting Juneteenth celebrations are taking place all across Montgomery County. The PA Montgomery County Chapter Democratic Black Caucus has put together a list of the events happening in our area, so you can join in the commemoration and celebration of freedom. We are grateful for this work and for allowing us to also post on our website.
